Overview of role


We are looking for a highly motivated SEO Exec to join our award-winning and rapidly growing SEO team, to support SEO Account Managers in the day-to-day running of their SEO campaigns for some of EssenceMediaCom biggest worldwide clients: Tempur and Royal Canin. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to take more ownership and progress their SEO career.


Not only will the successful candidate be working with some of the largest brands and advertisers in the world, but they will also have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of media planning, thanks to the close integration between EssenceMediacom SEO team with other specialist departments within the company.

The role reports to the SEO Account Manager

Measures of success


In three months, you would have:

  • Strengthened your SEO skills, identifying and filling in gaps in your learning
  • Delivered consistently high-quality work, and accurate insightful reporting
  • Built strong relationships with peers, delivering high quality work


In six months, you would have:

  • Demonstrated you can deliver projects meeting deadlines and with high standards.
  • Developed your knowledge and experience working with Media Planning, understanding how SEO works as part of a wider Media strategy, and feeding into briefs


In 12 months, you would have:

  • Raise your knowledge in all areas of SEO to be able to support across different projects, including use of internal SEO tools.
  • Be comfortably executing projects from start to finish, managing communications and meeting deadlines.



Responsibilities of the role


Support SEO Account Managers and wider team by conducting and writing up:


•Keyword research

•On-page optimisation advice

•Technical audits

•Competitor analysis

•Reporting, tracking, monitoring, and reporting using Google Analytics and other tools

•Oversee the performance of all SEO campaigns and ensure that key insights are incorporated into future activity (monitor and report KPIs and technical issues across all clients’ websites)

•Monitor industry trends and updates and report back on insights to their Account Manager and the wider team


What you will need


•Knowledge of Excel

•Ability to juggle a number of tasks at once and consistently to deliver high-quality work to timescale

•A high degree of numeracy and literacy are essential (analytical thinking)

•Basic knowledge of SEO tools: including Google Analytics, Advanced Web Rankings, Omniture etc.

•Reliable and proactivity

•Understanding of SEO as a channel


The successful candidate will be a contributor and able to work within a team, with a proven ability to take responsibility for their own work, as well as a willingness to help other members of the team when required. Flexibility, a desire to learn and develop and a positive attitude will all be key components of the role.
