As the Sr Business Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for managing the BI team that services all functional areas of the business and the execution of the BI Roadmap and Strategy. This role will work closely with Property Management, Asset Management, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Product Managers, Technology, and Data Management to define metrics and implement robust data visualizations and dashboarding solutions through Power BI that will drive meaningful insights and business decisions.  Your goal is to help create a data storytelling environment where end users can quickly understand how we are performing toward our goals and accurately analyze our business to make data-informed decisions.  This role reports to the Director of Business Intelligence.


  • Lead a team of four BI analysts located in Houston, Texas and Toronto, Canada. Skill sets of the team include expertise in Power BI, SSRS, SQL, Python, advanced data modeling, and Certified Financial Analysts.
  • Engage with senior departmental leadership on business reporting and analysis, process improvement related to reporting, and various ETL processes
  • Lead all phases of the BI product life cycle from requirements gathering to release of the product to production
  • Develop standards and best practices for enterprise development and visualization of BI products.
  • Collaborate on predictive analytics with Data Management and Data Science departments.
  • Participate in the planning of the BI Roadmap and Strategy.
  • This role will be required to build reports in the queue as needed to maintain production capacity and to keep up with new Power BI feature enhancements and other related technologies.
  • Will be required to travel to Toronto and/or inside the US a few times per year.
  • The BI team is in the office at least one day per week and works remotely the majority of the week.


  • 5+ years serving in a Business Intelligence managerial role with experience in people and project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or Business-related field
  • Expert in Power BI Enterprise development
  • Highly proficient in SQL with Data Warehouse experience
  • Proficient in Excel and Power Query
  • Knowledgeable in Power Automate and SharePoint
  • Nice to have coding experience in Oracle SQL and/or Python
  • Nice to have experience working with a Product Management vertical
  • Nice to have experience with Agile/Scrum
  • Nice to have experience with AWS
