Pertemps Education are recruiting for SEN Learning Mentors to work in Luton, Bedfordshire. The SEN Learning Mentor position is full-time (Monday to Friday) and will work school hours of around 8.30-16.00. This is a term-time only position, with a daily rate of £80-£90 depending upon experience.
The SEN Learning Mentor would work with primary and/or secondary aged students with a variety of learning needs. This could include ASD (both non-verbal and verbal), ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia and other moderate/severe learning needs.
Working with SEN children involves patience, time and attention to detail. You will need to be calm, approachable, flexible and punctuality is vitally important when working within a special needs environment.
All candidates will be required to successfully pass a safeguarding test, as well as provide documents and references prior to starting work in a school. This will include RTW checks, DBS check, overseas police checks (where applicable) as well as teaching qualifications (if necessary) and recent references as well as proof of payroll documents.
