Pertemps Education are currently looking for a Secondary SEN Teacher to work within a specialist school catering for students with speech, language, and communication needs. This Secondary SEN Teacher position will be focused on those students following an adapted curriculum. The successful secondary teacher will ideally have experience working with vulnerable adults or children in a special needs setting.

The children at this school will all have an EHCP so previous experience supporting students with a variety of special needs is desired.

Here is the role information:
Immediate start
Daily rate £160-£220 dependant upon experience
This role will involve working with secondary aged children following an adapted curriculum.
Maximum class size of 8. Up to 3/4 teaching assistants supporting in the classroom.
All general aspects of teaching (planning, delivering lessons, marking etc)
Full time teachers to work from Monday to Fridayfrom the hours of 8.30am to 5pm
The length of contract will be for at least one term, and there could be the option of a temp to perm contract.
The school will regularly have day trips and activities planned, which you will also be expected to support and be involved in
Pertemps Education will require the secondary SEN teacher to be fully vetted, including a child DBS certificate on the update service, recent references, right to work checks, and overseas police checks where necessary. You will also be required to show relevant teaching qualifications, including QTS.
