About the role
JFN are looking to recruit a Project Controls Manager (PCM) to manage the provision and governance of project controls information to projects spanning schedule, cost, and risk to facilitate the project management team in making informed decisions on the delivery of the project to best meet stakeholder expectations.
The application of resourced schedules and risk registers, and responses to project controls and planning questions that contribute to high quality winning and deliverable bids. The PCM will need to work with the commercial team to integrate actual and forecast cost data in to the project controls information provided
As our Project Control, you will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for developing/maintaining appropriate project controls and planning processes and systems
- Governance of the above.
- Integrating actual and forecast data to provide project controls information to enable the achievement of favourable outcomes for projects in respect of time and cost inclusive of risk management.
- Reporting to the client on SPI/CPI data and clearly demonstrate movements in the month linked to BCWP/BCWS/ACWP/ACWS
- Finalising project budgets and ensuring they are aligned with the schedule and cost baseline for the project.
- Responsible for the all internal & external reporting, entering and upkeep of the financial data within JFN’s Business Management System (EFACS) and allocation of personnel to the appropriate time booking codes.
- Ensuring the compilation of Project Review Meeting (PRM) reports on a monthly basis.
- Work with the internal commercial team to ensure change is captured and reported in line with relevant project obligations.
- Attendance at regular SLT meetings and client meetings
- Actively seek opportunities to save time, effort & cost.
- Regular engagement with all key stakeholders, providing clinical, detail narratives to support any variances in reporting
What do you need?
You will have experience of managing Project Controls for projects of significant complexity and risk, preferably within the UK nuclear or other highly regulated industry. Equally experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment andproven experience in contract change management is required.
We will look to you to manage project teams and come with knowledge in the commercial and financial aspects of a business.
With excellent management skills including leadership, decision making, planning, time management and problem solving it is important that you have familiarity of scheduling, cost engineering and risk management and extensive experience of earned value management.
