Albion Nord has an opportunity for a design manager to join its team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious interior design studio with lots of potential for growth and a number of exciting projects.
The Albion Nord design studio is located in Fitzrovia with a highly talented, welcoming team of 20. The studio consists of four talented directors with a focus on employee welfare and offer several brilliant benefits along with loyalty rewards.
The position would be full-time Monday to Friday and provide support to architectural practices to deliver a design management service across one or a series of projects. You will be responsible for project delivery and supporting with project set-up.
Our design manager will coordinate and strategise processes and procedures to help manage complex design deliveries for our clients. We build an environment and team culture to encourage the project team to work together efficiently and effectively.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- leading the design management across a variety of projects
- creating and delivering project documentation including CAD tender drawings and presentations
- excellent CAD drafting abilities
- excellent knowledge of joinery detailing
- understanding of technical project coordination (structure, MEP, etc.)
- leading the design process and feeding back to the directors
- supporting the team in the administration connected with projects
- arranging and leading meetings, preparing agendas and writing minutes
- site attendance
- design programme/route map preparation and monitoring
- client, project management and design team liaison
- team organisation and coordination
- delivering end of project reports and closing out issues
- ability to manage and multi-task workload priorities
About you
We are looking for professionals with impeccable communication skills, who can manage projects and teams. You will have three to five years’ experience in a similar role.
You should be able to use Microsoft office, as well as highly capable on CAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite.
You will be keen to learn, proactive, considerate, tactful and a relationship builder. If you have a positive attitude, are a reliable team player and have good attention to detail, we’d like to hear from you.
