About the role

The post holder will have a broad and varied remit, and play a vital role in supporting our corporate governance and compliance activities, as well as some key strategic initiatives. They will engage and develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, including the Executive and Operational Management Teams and our Governing Bodies.

The ideal candidate will have a particular interest in information management, and well-developed knowledge in data protection and freedom of information requirements.  They will support our compliance activities in both of these areas and provide a source of expert advice and guidance to all colleagues. They will also contribute towards the development of a broader data management strategy that extends into all areas of our work.

The post holder will be tasked with responding to information requests, maintaining appropriate records and compiling and submitting statutory returns. In doing so, they will be able to draw on previous experience of undertaking casework in a customer focussed sector, and demonstrate a keen ability to interpret relevant legal provisions and apply these to real-life situations.
