This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite in La Jolla and remote.

OFA analyzes faculty data to develop evidence-based effective programming and initiatives to enhance success, recruitment, and retention of an engaged, diverse, and inclusive faculty.

The Faculty Affairs Program Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of programs, courses and activities sponsored by the Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs. The Program Manaager is responsible for staying current on training pedagogy; researching best practice; collecting, analyzing and evaluating the programs' effectiveness; and introducing innovative methods and tools to achieve desired outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills to be able to independently coordinate, organize, plan and execute meetings and conferences.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proficiency in organizing and reporting data with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Analytical / problem-solving skills. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

  • Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.

  • Strong policy analysis techniques.

  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Pay Transparency ActFull Salary Range: $53,600 – $111,600 Annually

The University of California, San Diego is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale. Placement within the Expected Pay Scale is determined by internal equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).

Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).

If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
