Gabriel Scott designs and produces chic and contemporary furniture and lighting fixtures. All Gabriel Scott pieces are handmade in their Montreal production studio where young visionaries work together alongside an in-house team of industrial designers, engineers, and manufacturers to create and oversee each piece from inception to production. Gabriel Scott’s 30-thousand square-foot studio is located in Montreal’s historically rich Garment District, a neighborhood that pioneered Canadian fashion and design.
As the business has grown, Gabriel Scott requires a dedicated, hungry and entrepreneurial figure to lead sales growth in Europe, specifically within:
– Austria & Switzerland
– Balkans
– Benelux
– Eastern Europe
– France
– Germany
– Greece & Cyprus
– Italy
– Nordic
– Russia
– Spain and Portugal
You will implement the sales strategy which is pre-defined but flexible to the market reaction and on-the-ground experiences that the European Sales Manager may uncover. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role can be based in London, France, or other parts of Europe.
You will develop the existing sales channels and drive new business with a variety of trade clients, agents, distribution partners and also regularly attend relevant trade shows within the region.
Responsibilities
Generate interest in GS products, to find new opportunities for our business and to manage and
grow existing customers
Create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
Manage and extend the existing distribution and agent network in Europe
Oversee, implement and continually develop proactively through strategic engagement an effective sales strategy whilst providing input to new product development, marketing and business development
Attend relevant international trade shows
Ensure high level of customer service, retention and satisfaction
Take a lead role in the development and maintenance of customer contacts and long-term customer account management
Support deal structure and negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals. Lead and support bids and tenders
Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
Requirements
Frequent European travel (up to 50%)
Able to solve problems
Significant experience of developing a Sales region (ideally European) increasing sales & customers
Be able to travel across Europe without restriction
Fluent in more than one European Language
Excellent engagement skills and ability to build relationships with agents whilst also educating them on the products
Naturally entrepreneurial, driven and hungry attitude
Good project management skills
Strong presentation, communication and negotiation abilities
Capable negotiator
Able to create and manage pipeline effectively to meet and grow sales targets
Able to prioritise, multi-task and work on your own initiative
Strong telesales / phone skills /meetings empathy
