One of our clients is searching for a Networking Engineer located near one of their main locations. They are a leading global manufacturer of building products with over 400M in annual revenue. They provide solutions to large and complex construction projects — “building challenges” that architects, designers, building owners, and contractors face every day — and they have become a global leader in their products categories. In fact, you can see some of their products in some of the most iconic buildings around the world. But more important than that is how the company truly understands what it means to value and appreciate its employees. They do so many little things beyond just having a good benefits package. For example, extensive professional development through ongoing technical training, flexible hybrid office/work-from-home flexibility, Health Advocate Service, 5.25% 401k company match, Extended Sick Pay Plan, HAS, and family-oriented annual events for employees and family.
The Role: They are looking to add a network engineer to their networking engineer team, to work on a diverse range of projects related to their global enterprise network, including configuring and troubleshooting their current infrastructure, as well as helping to evaluate, research, recommend and implement new technologies – with a focus on route/switch and network security.
What you need:
- 3-5+ years experience as a Network Engineer, with good hands-on skills in Cisco and Meraki switches and routers.
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls (e.g., can configure, support, and trouble shoot VPN tunnels)
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS)
- Experience working with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, SNMP, NetFlow, and/or MRTG
- Culture fit: Proactive, strong problem solving, communication and documentation skills, collaborative/teaming skills
- CCNA and/or Bachelor's degree in Information technology is a plus.
