In this newly created role, our Employee Relations Manager will lead the Employee Relations Team in ensuring a fair and consistent approach to Breedon’s policies and procedures, promoting a positive ER culture, whilst minimising risks.

You will be responsible for: driving best practice, consistency and compliance; building operational capability within both line management and the employee relations team; delivery of proactive employee relations support to the business including reporting and analysis.

You’ll have the ability to;

  • Implement, manage and develop the ER People Information systems, specifically an Employee Relations Case Management System 
  • Manage People information and provide People intelligence
  • Create and develop policy and procedures and successfully implement and embed these
  • Manage and support a team of ER professionals
  • Be agile and flexible in your approach to prioritising and undertaking tasks
  • Work pro-actively and use your own initiative
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Effectively plan and organise
  • Show resilience and pragmatism
  • Weigh up application of policy/procedure against risk

You’ll have sound knowledge of;

  • HR information systems
  • Excel as a data reporting tool
  • Employment legislation including ACAS Code of Practices
  • Collective and individual consultation processes
