Job overview

The Collingwood centre has an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 maternity leave cover for 9 months. 

You will join an established, experienced team of nurses, pharmacists and admin roles to provide a high standard of treatment for Haemto-oncology patients. 

The Collingwood centre is a day unit offering SACT treatments for Haemato-oncology patients. Non malignant haematology conditions are also managed through the day unit. 

Main duties of the job

To deliver high quality, evidence based, safe, cost effective care to all patients and families.

To complete a recognised accredited Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy course ( SACT)

To complete the UKINS Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy passport.

To access patients pre SACT-carrying out a full toxicity screen and ensure the patients are safe to proceed with treatment.

To work across the clinical areas to develop and enhance clinical skills and practice, including part of a rotation to the Mobile Cancer Unit
