Our client has a very active build programme and are looking for a Building Safety Project Manager to operate across the Building Safety Team working on a range of specialist activities, such as the inspection of tall blocks to ensure the safety of cladding systems, compartmentation surveys, the identification of remediation works and also the preparation of Safety Case Files and Safety Case Reports to meet the requirements of the Building Safety Regulator.
You will be required to review existing safety data and undertake gap analysis to identify works; you will then project manage the process to implement appropriate action. The role is focused on high rise residential blocks so you will need experience on this type of scheme.
On a daily basis, you will prepare and issue reports on the requirements for building remediation, working collaboratively with other teams to ensure that repairs/improvements are expedited efficiently. A key requirement will be ensuring that residents are kept update at all stages and information is communicated clearly.
We are looking for a suitably qualified building professional with a good general knowledge of the Building Safety Act. You will need good negotiation skills and you a disciplined approach to work. Ideally we would want to see a professional qualification such as CIOB, RICS, APM.
The role is based with a Local Authority in East London so you need to be within reach. The rate is £400/day (inside IR35) and will last at least 3-6 months with scope to extend significantly.
