A leading multi-national manufacturing business are currently recruiting for a 1X Supplier Development Engineer & 1X Supplier Development Manager based in Cheltenham (hybrid working) on a fulltime permanent basis.

Important

Proven experience within a supplier orientated role, manufacturing background is essential.

The Job

The 1X Supplier Development Engineer & 1X Supplier Development Manager will be responsible for the facilitation and coordination of Supplier improvement programs with key suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement team. The programs objectives will be to improve supplier quality, delivery performance and achieving a lower cost of bought-out materials – whilst meeting all necessary requirements and standards. To proactively identify, maintain and recommend quality and business improvement processes required to maintain company quality approvals. Working as part of a team managing and developing the supply chain in relation to costs, quality, delivery and improvements.

Type – Permanent position

Location – Cheltenham (hybrid working)

Salary – £35,000-£55,000 (DOE) + benefits

Key skills and experience required for the 1X Supplier Development Engineer & 1X Supplier Development Manager job applicant and not limited to:

Proven experience within a supplier development / supplier management role – could also be considered from a Supplier Quality / Procurement / Supply chain background

Manufacturing background is essential

Experience in quality systems, quality tools & techniques would be advantageous

Must be willing to travel to suppliers nationally on a regular basis

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
